Ok you two. There has to be some good stuff going on with you (and me) that stands on its own. For instance, the cucumbers in the back are blooming, the tomato plant is beginning to act like it might actually make fruit, the three trees I planted are still alive and Rich may actually be getting it into his head how unhappy he has been making me for these past 15 years but leaving shit all over the place for me to clean up.

Yea.

I can't believe it's been 15 years, well sixteen. We got married 15 years ago, on the 22 of May.

Okay...

HOORAY, vegetation!!!

BOO, hubbers!!!

Well, you'll be happy to know that we ate our first purple bell pepper
the other night. Tasted a lot like a green bell pepper. In fact, it's
totally green inside but the skin is DARK purple. It looks really cool!
It seems I picked it a bit too early. Wasn't quite ripe. Got 7 more
that will be ready in a week or two. Smile Our okra is taking off.
Guessing harvest will be in about a week or two again. The collards are
looking good too. I hear they can grow into a tree so I am hesitant to
harvest them for now, though they are getting close. The beets are
beginning to pop out of the ground now. I think they are a waste of
garden space, but LMG's all stoked on 'em. All of our onions are
looking good and the leeks are going to seed as are our Manoa lettuce.
My seranno peppers are close to harvest and are a very cool red on top
half (at stem) and green on bottom half. Got a couple habaneros ready
to harvest and some more on deck. My Hawaiian chiles are FINALLY
beginning to fruit. First single pepper will be harvested in about a
week. It'll be weeks or more before I get any significant amount of
Hawaiian chiles to harvest. Our yellow squash is near harvest. A
fucking snail attacked our first canteloupe! We busted him eating! So,
I stuck his ass inside the canteloupe and threw 'em in the green waste
container... away from the garden. Hope he enjoys his last meal... Our
sunflowers are going off! Very Happy The spinach is coming up and our purple
carrots are developing. The purple cauliflower, purple broccoli and
brocoflower sprouts just went into the ground yesterday evening. Our
Kula is going through a major flush right now and is perfuming the side
of the house. The pikake is finally beginning to bud. Should flower in
a week or two for the first time. Too many avocados and mangos are
falling prematurely though. All the bean stalks are looking good, but
no sign of beans yet. My Peruvian white habaneros just broke the
surface and I'm excited about them! Only 2 of 4 have popped up so far
though. Afraid that the other 2 may never show. Our lavender and dill
died off for some reason but the echinacea is going off!

All the time, money, work and love that's gone into this garden is finally paying off and we're stoked about it. Smile

Other good news, 10 days until LMG and I depart for our Alaska Inside Passage cruise/Seattle adventure. My move out of my apartment and into LMG's place has been taking up ALL my time. And I'm gonna have to get some packing time in for the trip, but I'm sure I'll be able to just jam some shit into a suitcase and head to the airport. Wink

Wow, dare I use the word? Dare I?

Domesticated.

Oooooh, that sounds so funny.

Lavander and dill are Mediterranean, and love hot dry climates, so maybe Hawaii is just too wet.

Have you tried tying melons or maters into pantyhose? That sounds odd. It keeps the slugs and other bugs off and the hose stretched with them as they grow.

hee, hee,...I may have gotten myself banned from colbert, I don't know yet. Fer telling someone (sincerely, cos it need to happen) to quit smoking pot. The kid is going to die if he doesn't stop, he's completely out of control.

Happy News Thread Empty Really???

Yeah, I'm totally domesticated now. Wink Funny thing is, I'm totally cool with it.

Pantyhose, eh??? Never tried it. Will run it by LMG for sure!

I think we just killed off the lavender with too much water. I tried to tell her that "it's sort of a succulent, so quit watering it so much." She wouldn't listen. There's a lavender farm on Maui up in Kula. It's pretty cool and damp there, strangely enough...

What's this kid's problem with pot? "Die???" Um, that's never happened before. What's his problem? Just too stoney? He's not a medicinal user, is he? Fill me in. Why the hell would you get banned for telling someone NOT to use pot?

Well, i didn't get banned, in fact I got supported.

And people can die from secondary causes when smoking. Like forgetting what they're doing when say, driving. Or laughing too hard and losing control of the wheel. Cool

Naw, this kid was following me around the board calling me stupid and a cunt for several weeks, being very personal, so I turned it back around on him using info he had posted about himself, like that he had lost and entire bag of weed the week before, he was so stoned. It started getting nasty when he mentioned that he never has a problem driving under the influence of pot but that when drunk he crashed his car at 65 miles an hour into a barrier. Not the brightest argument. I mentioned that at that point, he should probably have just stop talking, that he was incriminating himself or something like that, and he went off on me. I went off right back but I didn't cuss, I didn't flame and I kept to the theme, you smoke way too much and should quit. One of his little smoking buddies came in behind him to ask that I be banned for personal attacks.

Nothing happened to me.
